Soccer....again!

No pictures this time, the camera batteries were dead. Brooklyn had her second soccer game Saturday and the Black Ants won!!! Brooklyn even scored one of the goals. She was so excited and so proud of herself. It is so much fun to see her push herself to be as good as she can and then the reward when she scores the goal. YEAH BROOKLYN! We love you and are very proud of you.

Soccer

April 18, 2009
Today Brooklyn had her first soccer game ever. She was so excited. Her team is the Black Ants. The team had their first practice last night. The kids had so much fun. Today Brooklyn said to me, "It doesn't matter who wins, just that we have fun and try our hardest." I'm so glad she knows that. I don't want her feeling bad if they don't win. She had so much fun today and can't wait until the next game.

Here she is in her soccer uniform. She is number 3 so in the pictures when I get her back you know who she is.

The Game! The kids did a really good job considering they had only had one practice. They actually were winning most of the game, but at the very end the other team sneaked past them and made two goals winning the game. Go Black Ants!!!

Here the Black Ants are cheering the other team.

Easter Day!

April 12, 2009

Happy Easter! We hope everyone had a great Easter Day. We did for the most part. We were still trying to get over the flu that spread through our house like wildfire. The girls had fun with the Easter egg hunts, candy, pet shops, and new outfits they got. I still need to get a picture of them in their new Easter dresses. Happy Easter to all.

Easter Egg Hunt

April 11, 2009
On Saturday we were invited to an Easter Egg hunt at our neighbors house. She invited a bunch of kids and hid over 200 eggs. The girls had a ton of fun. The best part for them was going into her house and opening all the eggs. Not only was there lots of candy, but money to. There were even three golden eggs that had a special prize in them. Brooklyn found one and her prize was $3.50. She was so happy. Thanks Teresa for all the fun.

TWILIGHT CRAZINESS!

March 21, 2009

I must admit, that I was one of those crazy Twilight fans that went out at 12:01am to buy the DVD. I went with my good friend, Marianne. We thought for sure we would be the only two people there, because we went to Broulim's, our little grocery store here in Shelley. Much to our surprise there was a huge line of people just as crazy as us waiting outside the doors to get in. It was so much fun! We waited in line and talked with other people until the doors opened. Then everyone rushed inside and grabbed their copy/copies of the movie and then we all waited in the check out line. While we were standing in line they passed out chocolate chip cookies and then when we left they gave us popcorn and pop. There is no better way to watch your new movie than with popcorn and soda pop.

The Twilight party was supposed to go from 12:01 - 2:00, but I think the party was pretty much over by 12:30. After everyone bought their movie they must have all rushed home to watch it. Not us. Marianne had drank a Mountain Dew before coming and wasn't going to be able to sleep. We decided to sit in the parking lot and talk for awhile. We were the last people to leave the store. We gabbed and had a great time. Thanks Marianne for being crazy with me!

I have watched my DVD and liked it better than I remember. In November, I dragged Matt to the movie theater to see it. He hated it, go figure. He even hated it more when we watched the DVD. Oh well, I didn't buy it for him.

I look half asleep in these pictures. I think maybe I am, I never stay up that late. It was lots of fun though!

I Miss You Dad!

Today it has been two years since my dad passed away. What a long two years. Over the years I have experienced every emotion imaginable to me. I have gone through the lowest, saddest, most difficult times; yet I have somehow, someway been able to pull through. To find happiness and joy and be grateful for the time I had with him. I have remembered all the fun, happy, good times we shared. The times that you seem to look past everyday until you lose that special person. I think of him often and not a day goes by that I don't miss him with everything that is in me. What I wouldn't give to have just one more day with him, to see his smiling face, and feel his arms around me, to hear him laugh and hear him say, "I love you sis"!

I miss you dad and I will remember you always! I Love You!

Love, Shireen
