Brooklyn's oral surgery...Notice this could be graphic

Brooklyn had a blister like bump in her mouth.  We let it go for quite awhile thinking it was just the beginning of a canker sore.  Then it started to grow and would sometimes bleed.  It stuck out of her mouth when she talked or smiled and she bit it very often.  We went to the doctor and he said it is a common Mucocele. A fluid filled bump in the mouth caused by trauma to the saliva duct.  When you hit your mouth sometimes you can damage a saliva duct and it is severed so the saliva collects under the skin in the mouth.  Sometimes it would burst and go down for a few days but it always came back.  After awhile it quite bursting and it was constantly a bump.  So we decided it was time to consult an oral surgeon.  He agreed that it was a Mucocele and said it's a simple procedure to remove the damaged saliva duct.  So we decided to have it removed.

Here are some pictures of Brooklyn's lip before the removal.
It's a walrus!!! Brooklyn was not very happy with me for taking the picture and calling her a walrus!

                                              Still numb!!!

Day 6

Now...it's all better!

After the oral surgeon, Mark Elison whom we absolutely love in case you ever need to use one we think he is the best, removed the bump he sent it to pathology just to be safe.  A week later he got the results.  Well, it wasn't a Mucocele it was actually a Pyogenic Granuloma, basically a benign tumor.  How scary is that?  Glad we got it taken care of and her lip looks wonderful, even though the above picture makes her lip look huge it's really not.

Random pictures from our resident Photographer! AKA Taysa

A while back, Taysa got her own camera...which I must say was a piece of JUNK. Nonetheless, she still took pictures. I think she likes posing her sisters and being the photographer, maybe because she can be bossy and get away with it! Love you Taysa. Now that I have these pictures and numerous others that she took it looks to me like I need to find her a GOOD camera.

Kisses!!!

The party don't start till I walk in....

Cheese!

Pretty picture!

You just gotta have a picture in front of the Fredrico's sign.

Pizza, Fredrico's ham pizza...need I say more? Obviously we love it so much we take pictures of it!

Cowgirl?

Aunt Marci gave Cloe these cowgirl boots because her daughter, Carson, wouldn't wear them. Well guess what? Cloe won't take them off. She wears them everyday with everything and everywhere we go! She loves them, thanks aunt Louie!!!

Dance Recital 2011

It's Jill Searle dance recital time again. This year is Cloe's first year of dance, Brooklyn's 4th year, and Taysa's 6th year. It is one of our favorite and worst times of the year. The girls work hard all year long to prepare for this night and they love to perform and they have so much fun. On the other hand all the craziness that comes with this night brings on a lot of stress for both me and the girls. The dress rehearsal, all the hair and makeup, wearing uncomfortable costumes, being out late two nights in a row, but it's all worth it to them. They love to dance and I love to watch them.
